‘Beauty’. What does it mean? What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear this word?

Does it mean putting on make-up? New clothes? Starting a diet? Visiting a plastic surgeon? Or maybe a cosmetic dentist?

Beauty can be interpreted in so many different ways, but for some reason we always seem reflect on physical aspects.

Beauty is more than what we can see with our eyes. It is when we feel comfortable with ourselves inside and out.

Of course having that confidence is not always easy, but the important thing to remember is that whatever you need to do to gain that confidence is your choice. If you want to put on makeup, buy new clothes, or correct your smile in order to love yourself as you are then do it! These decisions and actions are what give power to the word beauty.

As a cosmetic dentist, during my evaluations, I not only focus on the smile of my patients, but I see them as an entire person and try to understand them from inside and outside. In order to do my job best I need to discover their desires, fears, and ultimate goals. It takes time to build a relationship and to connect. The most important thing for me is to listen and make a plan together.

In my dental room, I don´t consider myself only a dentist, I consider myself a friend, a therapist, and an artist. I try to bring out individual confidence in every patient. I’m passionate about beautiful smiles and helping everyone achieve what makes them beautiful.

Your smile is your presentation to the world. It is your business card and something that you use every minute of your life.

As we are all individual, achieving a beautiful smile is not the same for everyone. And beauty is not the same as perfect – it is different for everyone. What I aim to create for my patients is their own inner and outer beauty combined in the smile that works for them and makes them beautiful in their own way.

Take for example the small gap that some people have between their front 2 teeth. It’s called a midline diastema. Some people would say it is an imperfection and may want to get rid of it. But other people feel is is a part of their personality and gives them character.

When you decide to make changes in the name of beauty, don’t forget to take the time to look inside and assess the reasons you want to make these changes. Make a list and see what you need to do to love yourself even more.
