Dr. Neil graduated from his home town of Newcastle’s Dental School in 1995 and after a further professional postgraduate training programme gained a Diploma of General Dental Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998.
In the UK Dr. Neil worked in a wide variety of NHS and private settings, in both hospitals and clinics. He and his wife owned 3 practices and 2 dental labs before they brought their family to Dubai for a new challenge seven years ago.
Dr. Neil believes in a patient-centered approach; we may know dentistry, but you know what is right for you. He has a passionate interest in oral-systemic links, put simply how your mouth and its health can affect your general health and many prevalent conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and more.
A member of the European Association for Sports Dentistry, Dr. Neil was a speaker at the FIFA/ECOSEP congress here in Dubai in December 2017 and is part of a growing network of dentists worldwide working with elite athletes and teams, improving their performance through better oral health and providing vital protection from trauma and injury.
A keen supporter of Newcastle United and founding Chair of Newcastle United Supporters’ Trust, Dr. Neil co-hosts a sports talk radio show in the UK and can occasionally be found talking football and/or teeth on DubaiEye Radio.
Dr. Neil lives between Dubai and Ras al Khaimah with his wife, who is now a teacher and studying towards a Ph.D., and 3 children, Robyn, 18, Joss, 16 and India, 8.
